Summer Celebrations

On 21 August the club held its first social event since the pandemic.

What was intended as a BBQ was turned into a kitchen catered event due to the tinder-dry outfield.

Around 25 members and guests turned out on a lovely sunny afternoon

Equipment officer Mark Yard and his wife Lucie laid on a cornucopia of foods and a splendid assortment of games including a very competitive egg and spoon race.

Since we are an archery club there were also archery games (including compound sharp shooting against the clock and some people going with a left handed bow) and a have-a-go for non-members with copious balloon bursting and novelty prizes for archers and non-archers.

It was a great day for all and a huge thanks to Mark and Lucie (and their absent son Rudi who helped with food prep) for a splendid day. Let’s do it again!
