CCB WRS Tournament 2024

May 11 and 12 saw the return of our annual world record status tournament. The vent ran smoothly and was greatly appreciate by the approx. 140 attendees. The success owes a lot to Jack’s efforts though the year in planning and organising.

The on the ground action started with a last-minute dash to Clickers in Norwich to ensure we had enough targets.

On Saturday Nick ran a very successful bacon roll stall, selling out by 9.00 am. Miraculously the sun came out and stayed with us for 2 days. Bottle of sun cream were dusted off and suntans started.

Highlight of the day was the surprise, and welcome, arrival of an enterprising ice cream seller doing brisk business on both days with queues lasting 45 minutes!

Oh… and there was some archery. Lydia Sinnett-Smith took Ladies Compound gold on the Saturday for CCB with the highest compound score of the day (including the Gents). On the Sunday there were 3rd places finishes for Richard rasher, Anke Hannemann and Jack Atkinson. Probably the most impressive score was by a junior longbow archer who will be claiming a national record.

And finally the annual challenge of getting all the kit back in the shed and a special shout out goes to Richard and his magnificent seven who completed this in record time
